We have been listening a lot about Aam Admi Party’s internal factionalism and war. These camps- Kejriwal Camp, and the Bhushan and Yadav Camp have also shaped up. If we apply a bit of political aptitude and try to reason it out, one would realize that it doesn’t takes rocket science to understand the present state of AAP; a basic understanding of Chanakyolosophy and Machiavellian sense is enough to appreciate the rot in the party.
I, through this post, present three collateral and crisp theories about the current crisis in AAP. You may agree with any or disagree with all;
Unanimous Yes doesn’t mean that all are birds with same feathers
AAP was a culmination of a political movement and when such movements take place, the people who join the movement are not always driven by the same motives. They are united in what they oppose but not in why they oppose (they may be motivated by a share in the fruits of the movement, if and when it arrives)? This dichotomy doesn’t prove to be of any significance in the beginning as the focus is on getting the fruit and not its appropriation but once the movement is over and the award ceremony follows (victory in election and appropriation of cabinet berths or the fruits), its importance surfaces. And it is this dichotomy which is troubling AAP right now.
Treasure Hunt going awry or Treasure hunts end like this only
It may also be compared to a Treasure hunt which when began, got its participants (not all but at least a few dominant ones) together with the paramount objective of discovering the treasure but when the treasure was discovered, started fighting on the appropriation part.
The Old Hindi Adage
The whole thing may also be summarised by alluding to a old Hindi adage that ‘ek myan me do talvar nahi rah sakti’ or that there can’t remain two swords in one shield. Here is a case where we have more than two….
P.S.- The new Janata Parivar, if comes to power, may also face the same phase.
